I haven’t really posted in a while. Everyone is well. Dor made honor roll last quarter, Mal got an “honorable mention” for trying hard. Mal is having some trouble in school – not from a knowledge stance, but from an activity/participation stance. We’ll have a meeting soon to figure out what to do. I think we’re due for a mid year IEP anyway.

Thanksgiving was nice – my gram and aunt came over, we had a feast. Ham, roastbeast, brisket, sweet potatoes, acorn squash, green beans, macaroni & cheese, garlic potatoes, party potatoes, and I can’t remember what else. We recently ran out of leftovers (rightovers).

I went in and had my hair done up in dread-twists on this past Monday. These photos are from today. They took 7.5 hours from start to finish (minus a 20 minute break).

Yes, they are small – they will bulk up a bit once the twist lets go a little, and I wanted the smaller ones for better coverage. I have them sort of pinned back in these photos.

I have been busting my ass over at azxureDawn to not only get work done that I have, but bring in more. I can’t win – either I am too idle for my own happiness, or I am too swamped to keep up. I wish I could find a happy medium.

I am going with my dad in two weeks to finish the kids holiday shopping, but most of it is done. I didn’t stand by not spending any money this year, but all told I think we spent under 150$ on all three combined. We got some inexpensive little stuff, and Michael got some good black Friday deals. They each got a metal slinky, a mini gumball machine and legos. We also got a SpeedRacer Wii game, Guess Who, some other Wii game (I can’t rememeber – it was a collection of mini games), the Ladybug Game, Kung Fu Panda (10$ @ CVS!), HotWheels Wii game, a dinosaur game and a sea monster game. Eshiva is getting one more thing picked up this evening, and my dad will get them each two more things (I try very hard to give one thing every night of Channukah, so they each get eight total). Dor asked for more Star Wars books and another Didj game, so there are his two, and I have no clue what to get the other two. I also need to pick up a cord for my brother and one more gift (they’ve outgrown needing eight things… I hope!), and something for my sister, and something for my dad. I am thoroughly stumped on his gift. Michael got a new tattoo machine and a GPS for his holidays gifts (he totally got them both himself, but both were splurges).

We did major shopping today

Well, school was canceled today, impending storm and all. So what did we do? We went shopping! We left the kids home with Sara and went up to BJs and got the swingset! Yay!! I’d link to it, but I can’t see to find it anywhere. It’s pretty bad ass though. It’s got two swings, one something else IRIC, a slide, clubhouse, climbing side, it’s cool. I can’t wait to get it set up. I also picked up a new 8 gig highspeed sd card for my camera, yay! I run out quickly with the 2 gig card I currently have.

Took Malachai to therapy, got a flat tire on the way there. Took care of that, therapy went well. I was shown hot to do joint compression with him and he worked on strength and whatnot. Fun stuff! He also started speech today.

Came home, did… something. Played MouseTrap somewhere in there with the kids. Michael is making sloppy joe for dinner. I dyed my sisters hair, I haven’t seen how it came out yet. Ordered a couple of new machines for myself (a rotary machine and a craptastic cheap one to use as a learning tool). And that pretty much wraps up my day! I so want to go out, I don’t want to be home. Oh well.

my morning.

So I was expecting a delivery yesterday that had to be signed for (I didn’t realize it had to be signed for) so of course we were’t here when they were here. I called UPS to see if they could deliver earlier or much later because we are *never* here when UPS is here (they are always here between 12 & 1). They made a note to please deliver just 10 minutes earlier (they arrived at 12:06 yesterday). Well, they were here around 10 this morning! The guy said he had an overnight to deliver in the development, so they brought this too. Rock on! What was in my package? Thanks for asking! I got two grips all of my own (the one I’ve been using is very small and so I got a 3/4or1 inch [depending on the side] to make my old arthirtic hands happier) for the tattoo machines, some more needles, stencil paper, and michael got some disposable aprons to test. They also sent a keychain and a suuuuper cute pen make out of a disposable tube. Michael was gonna keep it, and decided I should have it to write with instead, isn’t he sweet?

Today after UPS came (there was a total purpose to that story) we went to the food store. We went back to Doris’ for meat, and decided to hit Albertsons when we were done there. I have a produce delivery coming on Wednesday. This should have been a quick trip. Well, I ran late at Albertsons and we rushed home at 15 after 12 and the motherfucking city is repaving the entrance to hour development. I knew this, as they ripped up countless feet of perfectly good road to replace it with blacktop. They also ripped up our turn lane and entrance. Well, they were laying the blacktop in the entrance so we couldn’t get in. Except one car came out and a FedEx came in so I said fuck it, drive over it! We were already late to get Michael to work b/c we had to unload, put away, and then leave when we should have been leaving. So the workers were all sorts of pissed (so was I, there is only one entrance/exit to our development, it’s not like there was a second option) and I was all sorts of pissed and once we got everything put away Michael phoned the bossman and told him he’d be a bit late. So around 15 to 1 (when he should be at work) we left and the workers were gone. ZOMG what a fucking struggle. Why not do *half* the entrance so we could go in/out the exit side while the entrance side set (the entrance is 2 lanes, the exit is one, plus a median) and then do the other side? It was just stupid and not thought out.

So that was my morning.

I have also started my own 365 project – I am taking lots of photos and will be “showcasing” (for lack of a better word) one for each day in my online gallery. I haven’t set it up yet, so once I do I’ll post the URL for anyone interested.

My birthday is tomorrow damnit

Ok, here’s me whoring out my wish lists one last time. There is better stuff underneath of this tho, so read!

We got some need more! of these nifty little things as well. Not that huge set. Something reasonable. They have small sets. These are more addicting than lego’s ever were. I suspect if we had the disposable income, our house would be covered in them. Yes, they rock THAT much.

Yes, I am whoring out my wish lists. All two of them. But my birthday is tomorrow, so I am feeling entitled.

My Amazon Whore Wish List. Yes, there is stuff on there for Fish & the boys. You can kind of tell what is for who tho.

I also have a Hot Tapioca list. Yes, I meant tapioca. I am not a hot topic lover, I think they are over priced and too tendy, but I need pants. & they have the pants I want. My Hot Tapioca “I need pants” List. Ok, there are some shirts on that list too. Sue me.

These are just guidelines. I don’t expect anything in and of itself. But it can’t hurt. How come whenever people ask me what I want, I never knew, but now that I know, no one asks?

Alternatively, if you all just want to get together and send me cash, that would be nice too :-) A small gift $5.00 or $10.00 from each of you would add up to a nice gifty indeed :-)

But I won’t be upset if I don’t get that either. So don’t feel bad if you can’t or just dont want to. It wont offend me.

Ok, yesterday we…

Went to the bank, deposited my check from my gramma, and some checks for my mom. Went to the post and send out 3 packages. Then we went to michael’s and a couple days after halloween shopped. Got about 5 nifty small wire basket things, some cool ribbon, some colorforms for dorian, and some stuff for ‘s mother for christmas. Yes, I am already holiday shopping. I have a box for her that I just wrap & toss as we get it. She should have a nice, large gift by the time I am done. Then we went to learning express where we had never been & dor l[payed with the trains, and we bought some stuff. Got a melissa & doug jigsaw puzzle that you make. We have tp find an appropriate photo to stick to it. Oh, and Fish got a starwars lego box, but he’s gonna put a sticker over the lego logo (whoa, that was weird to type) & use it to carry his tattoo machines in. He is such a (insert me signing dork here). Then we went to big lots on a search for gifty’s, and found nothing, and so we walked back over to learning express and bought gifty’s for ‘s kidlets. I still have to wrap those….. Oh, and we bought the pizza set frm the melissa & doug line. Yes, my boys are spoiled, but this means we can get rid of about 10 other icky, useless, plastic, no educational value at all toys.

Then we went to taco bell, got burritos and came home.

We told dor he couldn’t have his toy till he helped clean up the floor, so he picked up his bed & folded it, picked the stuff up from under it, and said “it clean now?” too cute.

hm….. I’m hungry.
