i love mandy

we made it to jacksonville. ugh. LONG weekend! went to mgm, epcot and then shopping. whoohoo. i got shorts, a shirt, and a pair of shoes. and some other stuff, i think. anyway…

jeff made dinner, so i gotta go eat (and i am sure it’s awesome)

talk to you all later :-)

chai

is a CHUNK!!!! he is just over 10 pounds (he weighed 10.4, but he had his dipe on, the nurse called it 10.1)

he has a hernia, the doc said it shouldn’t need attention and should go away by the time he is 6 or 7 and not to tape it down or put a coin over it or anything, which we laughed about, b/c dh had a coin taped over his belly button as an infant.

um…. i think that;s about it.

we went shopping to find me pants. i didn’t find any :( i have like, 2 pair of pants that fit that are whenever pants. *sigh* maybe we can find some in orlando. *shrugs*

someone made a comment about how all these cars have flags in them.. i said yah, they all got put in on sept 12 last year and were forgotten about.

i have two of them on my back window, those little decal ones that are movable that go on the inside of the window. they are on either side of my gay pride/leather pride stickers. i thought it was fitting for some reason. but i agree with that it is sad to see these suv’s with tattered flags on them, put there because it was trendy 364 days ago.

i have to wonder how my friend matt is, and his brother and their family. i have to wonder how any of the families are who were truly directly affected. but not enough to watch the tv and hear about it. i am kind of avoiding media today.

oh! chai has a rash :( poor baby. it doesn’t seem to be bothering him, i just feel bad about it :(

i think that’s it. really mean it this time. bye!

long time no post

well, not too long.. but here is what’s been up

my favourite-ist uncle is in town visiting (well, the whole family is, but you know) and that rocks. we saw them i think it was Friday, and will see them again on the 4th (we are having a cookout, more in a minute)

Saturday michael works, so we stayed in and vegged.

Sunday my mom took dorian and the kids to my gramma’s to go swimming. they didn’t go swimming, they went shopping. but had fun, so that’s good. my dad wound up being called into work, so michael and i stayed home to sit w/ erin. had a nice, lazy Sunday. Sunday night we went to cheesecake factory, *just* us. that was nice for a change. it’s been too long, and we need to do it more often. oh! we went to ghirrardelhi (sp, i know)) and got milkshakes before cheesecake factory. anyway, we got bruschetta and spin dip, and of course, cheesecake. none of that ruined cheesecake with all the crap in it, just got old, plain cheesecake. it was yummy yummy. and then we came home and more or less passed out. ok, he finished up some stuff on the computer, and i had a miserable belly ache for about an hour and a half, but once that was done, we more or less passed out.

today is his day off also, but since no one is home, we are home with erin again. i took the kids to camp this am (they go to camp where their hebrew school is, which is pretty cool, actually, since they aren’t being “taught”, but playing games to learn, which i think is a nice change from just a school setting. it’s also only 10 kids or so, so it’s small enough to be fun), and mom has her chemo, and dad has work. we are picking them up later tho and going to see lilo & stitch (or, as dorian calls him, titch).

so yah, that is what is going on. i need to work on my yelling.. apparently i have been doing more and more of it, at michael too. which i feel really bad about, but between being *completely* dependant on my parents, which is not making either of us happy, dor deciding to be in this screechin, defiant phase (which will end, what, when he is an adult?), me being hot ALL the time, even in the a/c, and a zillion other things……. i am not what i would call stressed, i am just not happy in our currant situation, and sadly, i don’t see an end in sight. michael didn’t get a call back from wallmart, and seems to have just said fuck it abotu finding anything else to do other than sit at sunrise day in, day out and wait and hope something comes in. *shrugs* not that that is an issue, *if* things were coming in!

ok, so that’s it, really.

oh! i lied. i forgot. michaels birthday is the 4th () and so is my cousin daniels, and my parents are having a cookout for the family (i think about 25 people will be here… scary thing is, 8 of them are my immediate family lol) and we are gonna do fireworks and stuff. it should be fun.

too much to do

today i have to go to sam’s club, to buy food. then i have to come home to unload the car, and go to albertson’s (the local food store) to get the stuff i couldn’t get/didn’t want so much of at sam’s club, then i have to go have my oil changed (hey, it’s been 3 weeks *sigh*) and my steering column is making some weird noise. oh, did i mention i have about 15$? i have my dad’s atm card to do the food shopping with, but that leaves *everything* else to do.

someone die and leave me some money? please???

so we bought

a new printer. and it worked as soon as i installed the drivers! that’s a first. it’s a cannon s500, if that has any meaning to you at all. it’s sweet. no graininess, no lines, not quite a laser, but close enough.

we also got some other random stuff, holiday presents to ourselves. now if i could just get that damn sewing machine!
