if i grow up…

i’d be a Regal Lion (is that anything like a noble steed?)

Regal Lion
STRENGTHS AS A CAREER PERSON:

Lions are known for their domineering nature. They are the kings of the jungle – the powerful leaders of the business world. Lions can be an asset to any organization. They are self-motivated, task-oriented, assertive, and excellent organizers. Lions thrive on competition and challenge and they highly value productivity and success. They have confidence in their business instincts and are quick to make decisions.

LIMITATIONS AS A CAREER PERSON:

Lions can be difficult to work with. They are authoritarian and demanding, appearing less concerned with people than with task completion. They are highly verbal individuals who are often perceived as critical, insensitive and argumentative. Lions are often opportunistic in order to get ahead in business, which may create distance and mistrust with others.

my mama

mom is a trooper!! she finally got ever the shock, and sees her regular doc on wed for a follow up, and an internist on Thursday for more details on what’s going on (and to ask about me being preggers and having a toddler in the house while on the radiation and chemo, since i can’t find any info on how much, if any, will be residual in her body) with everything. but she’s up and moving, and dorian is finally going over to her (i think he was freaked b/c ra-ra wasn’t getting up off the couch lol) and kissing her boo boo (that big ass zipper on her stomach) and she’s pleased with that. now if she’d stop trying to pick him up, dust, mop, etc… lol

ok, this was posted to one of my groups, but i don’t feel like typing the same thing in different words lol

chemo

well, as it turns out, the tumor wasn’t as small as it thought it was. and the radiologist came up today to talk to her about the radiology reports. and they are planning to start chemo next week. dad is going down to find out exactly what is up, if they found more cancer when they sampled the lymph nodes, or if it is purely preventative. i said i’d go buy her some hair. (come on, what else do you say? esp. when you are me) and i got the finger. at least it means she is in fairly good spirits.

dad isn’t doing so well. his father (my pe-pa) died of stomach cancer. they gave him 3 months. he lasted 2 years. by the end, they hoped he would just give up and die, he was in so much pain.

i don’t know what to think now. as i said to mom, she has to be better by the end of august, she has another grandbabe to meet and play with.

so anyway, like i kinda expected, it landed on me to keep it together, since my dad is a mess (not that he’d show it, but i just know he is) and mom is being mom. such is my life i guess. if the gods didn’t think i could handle it, i wouldn’t be given it, but i wish it would stop coming all at once.

my mom

as some of you knew, my mom was in the hospital
for a transfusion, endoscopy and colonoscopy. a couple weeks ago they found
2 cysts, one on each ovary, that were benign. today they found a tumor, not
sure where tho, and it is cancerous. needless to say, my dad is having a fit
(his father had stomach cancer, so he has seen first hand what happens
*sigh*), and i have michael and sara. he’s been coming home to deal with
erin. they are doing another ct scan tonight, and maybe releasing her
tomorrow sometime, but she’d be going back to have the tumor taken care of.
don’t know anything else right now.

we were going to disney for moms birthday this weekend, as of now, we
aren’t, tho i might be taking michael and sara up to get them out of the
house this weekend.

please keep her in your thoughts.

so we bought

a new printer. and it worked as soon as i installed the drivers! that’s a first. it’s a cannon s500, if that has any meaning to you at all. it’s sweet. no graininess, no lines, not quite a laser, but close enough.

we also got some other random stuff, holiday presents to ourselves. now if i could just get that damn sewing machine!
