Greetings Scorpio, Your horoscope for the 31st of October:

You’re at a point where your charming nature acts like a beacon to others around you. People find you very interesting and personable at the same time. Get out there and communicate, bake up some great treats for your friend’s kids. I sense that it will be fun to travel a bit or perhaps check out a different culture. Religion inspires you – perhaps you might want to come to terms with the nature of death on your own spiritual terms, remember important family friends who have passed on.

i am tired a lot. we had dorian’s party today. it was tiring *laughs*

he got scooby gang bendies, a motorcycle, a car, and a trike that is too big for him. damn thing says 1.5 – 4 years, it’s a 10″ bike. *sigh* have to get wood blocks to make the peddles closer lol but he is so all about having a bike! too cute. we took pics, will post them once they are developed and scanned in.

michael is sick *sigh* it’s been a good while since he has been whiney, coughing sick. so it’s ok. i just hate to be like, suck it up, but i have to deal with a whiney toddler all day and a crying (well, not all the time like it was) baby. i wish i had the patience to baby him when he is sick (b/c i know i made him baby me when i wasn’t feeling well) but i am at the end of my rope most days, he is supposed to catch me, not the other way round lol

ok, i don’t mean it like that, i can’t really explain it. i mean, he busts his ass to work and provide what he can right now, and be able to do better later, and will be busting his ass more after next week at school too, to provide for us later, so i try to do as much as i can at home for the kids and to keep the room clean (and clean it too) but there are just some things i cannot do alone (like put his stuff away where he can find it/i can remember where i put it!)

mandy asked if you ever think about your ex, just like, where they are, etc… i can’t say i do… i think about my current and our future and where we have been in the past 4 or so years, and where we will be in the next 40 or so. and it makes me happy, because i know that we already survived what would have been an ugly breakup or divorce for most couples. so we made it over the hurdle, it’s smooth (well, choppy maybe lol) sailing from here on in.

too cute

we have to lock the doors or dorian can open them. well, he just saw me lock it, and he is now trying to unlock it. it’s one of those door locks that you just turn the thing on the handle. anyway, i thought it was cute :-)

oh, and our kitten is sitting on the floor eating the ferret snacks (chicken and cheese flavour) that we bought for the rats. i get someone should eat them!

shots

ok, i am now officially sick. i did not have my son vaccinated. and i have no plans on having my son vaccinated. i am thinking about relenting on the polio vaccine for various reasons, but i don’t think i will. it was more of a conversation i had with my dad, and the fact that the WHO (world health organization) was very close to announcing that polio has been eradicated world-wide, but a bad batch of the vaccine ended up spawning an altered form of the virus that kids were getting. ok, so that was vaccine induced. but they were (supposedly) within 5 years of announcing the eradication, and now they aren’t. so i don’t know how i feel about it. ineed to do more research.

but anyway, i got this letter, and because my son hasn’t had any vaccines, he is due for, get this shit, 18, yes 18 shots!

1 MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
3 HEP (hepatitis c)
3 DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis)
3 IPV (polio)
4 HIB (influenza type b)
4 PCV (pneumococcal conjugate)

plus they thought he was 15 months, so add on the 18 month DTaP (diptheria, tetanus and pertussis) and Var (varicella aka chicken pox shot).

don’t even get me started on the stupid chicken pox shot. it think it’s great for adults, but in kids, something like 98% of the time, chicken pox is harmless, just a lil uncomfy for a couple weeks. then, my dad describes the mumps as the same thing *grins* i love my dad. while he thinks modern medicine has it’s place (same as me) he agrees it is waaaay overdone.

now to convince everyone else *grins*

and

he bit me. *sigh* those wonderful toddlers! and i thought mine would be different lol yah, right!
