Dinner

I try every week to make a meal plan. Actually I try every other week – I try to keep my food shopping to roughly twice a month, with maybe a run out in between for milk & eggs. Usually this works pretty well and should a disaster strike, we’re prepared with more than three days worth of food. That puts us more than three days from anarchy, or so the saying goes. My Side of the Mountain

I started reading this book with my kids tonight. You can find a current (and inexpensive) printing of it here as well as many customer reviews.

I read this book for the first time probably around 1989/1990. I’ve reread it many times since then. I’ve gone so far as to push it on my kids, although none ever took a real interest. I decided tonight to start it, and lo and behold, all three listened with very few interruptions. [Read more...]
