ugh, it has been hectic, to say the least *laughs* but as you all know me by now, you also know it is ALWAYS hectic in our house! (that is what happens when 9 people are in one house)

so chai is doing great, doc t. said she would call if his bloods came back weird or anything and no call from her yet, so this is a good sign. we go in tomorrow, but we are seeing one of the other docs in the practice b/c our normal ped only works 2 days a week and since we are out of town as of thursday morn, we had to take a wednesday appt. which is ok, b/c the doc we are seeing is not the ass who told me to supplement w/ formula. so all is good. he (chai) is still slightly jaundice, but not noticeably so, and we have been sunning him in the mornings for a few minutes. he is such a high needs baby! not like dorian was at all! i should have known. if he isn’t being held, he cries (unless he is really in a deep sleep) and if he isn’t being fed (which he does for like, 2 hours straight, on the breast/off the breast/uh oh! i wasn’t done *scream*/back on the breast) he is being held so he doesn’t cry. and if i think he is in a deep sleep, it lasts for about 20 minutes and then he thinks it is time to eat again. but you know, i bitch now, but you know i am loving every minute of it, i just wish he’d eat for more time at once and just eat, not play or what not. *shrugs* it’ll pass, it always does, and way too quickly at that.

dorian is good as well, he was 34 inches and something like 28 lbs at his 2 year (which we did a month early b/c chai had to have his 3 day heel prick done, so we took dor in the same day). OMG he turns two in a few days!! my baby is not a baby anymore! and he looks SO big next to chai! he is talking up a storm, signing too. he is singing big brother (ok, he is signing big-same b/c he forgets to sign boy in-between lol) and saying it while he signs it, and we are working on little brother, which he will sign but not say. and everything is mal mal mal, so needless to say, we got over the jealous thing and lunged on into possessive. which is too cute some days, other days it is a headache.

i am doing great, i couldn’t resist, hopped on the scale, and i am at pre-preggo weight. i am not so concerned with loosing more weight as i am with toning up my belly, so i think i might do a modified pilates/yoga kind of thing once we get back from vacation. i think i might [try to] convince michael he wants to do it with me. i got this awesome new nursing bra/sports bra combo thing from www.bareware.com (they ROCK!) it’s a bravado leopard print (i know, i know, me and my leopard print lol) and i got the L++ size and as it turns out that was a good idea. so i now have 3 vickies bras i might never fit again (ebay anyone? lol) and 2 nursing bras i am not thrilled with, but are tolerable. we’ll see if i buy another bravado, i really really like it, but funds are low, and since i have the other two, i can’t really justify it, even to myself.

michael is doing great as well, you all know he starts school oct 7 (i thought it was the 1, but yay, i get some extra time with him!) and he starts his new job the friday after we get back (which means i get some extra time with him! see a trend?) i wont have hardly any time with him once everything gets going, but it’s all for a good cause, so it’s kind of ok. we might be getting a new car (new to us anyway) for free, or for some of michael’s time anyway. this guy came in and wanted a piece on his back that michael drew up after the 9/11 stuff last year, and since it was going to be an expensive piece, the guy said do you need a car? so originally it was going to be a t-bird (94) but he sold that, and then said he had an 84 pick up, but we a) don’t have room for that and b) wanted something that could hold the car seats just in case something happened to my mazda. so since he hits the auctions every week, he said to give him a couple of weeks. so that’s good! means i get my
car back!! not that i am ready to venture out alone yet, but… someday lol

my mom had surgery (again) yesterday morning for her hernias, not that anyone has seen hide nor hair of her surgeon yet, but it seems to have went well. she is in a bit of pain, but some vicodin cleared that up for her lol she had her 12th chemo last tuesday, so only 4 more to go! and no radiation, so that is a good thing. otherwise, she is doing awesome. i think i might need to find some way to celebrate the end of her chemo, but i don’t know how/when/what to do about that. suggestions are welcome! just remember, i am broke, and if we try to do a surprise party, she would notice me cleaning the house to company-clean standards lol

we leave thursday for orlando for a few days (with my family), and then onto jacksonville to spend time with mandy and company on sunday afternoon, and then monday we are off to dc! michael is having a working trip, so i wont be up to a whole lot, but it will be a nice change of pace to see our friends and family, it’s been a while (a long while). sunday we are having a brunch for my family in baltimore at my uncle’s house (he so rocks) and then either sunday night or monday morning we are leaving for jacksonville to see mandy and company again (since it will be a short visit the first time, and sadly, i think a short visit on the way back as well. i miss mandy .) and then onto coral springs. we might stop in orlando on the way back as well to visit with some people, but that depends on what time and what day we pass through.

so that is what is going on! for the most part, things are good, which makes me happy. i am still going batty being at home, esp. with dorian seriously hitting the terrible twos (and he is definitely hitting them! lol) and trying to run after him while nursing chai while doing 4 other things as well. see, my mom thinks she had it hard with the twins, but she had me to help her out lol tho i suppose she knows what i am dealing with since erin and i are 2 years apart and i was the one running around when she had a very high needs infant screaming in her ears. so yah, what goes around comes around!
