talk to me about cards

I was thinking about getting into greeting cards this year. Are they something you buy? Are they something you would buy if you saw them and they were just that awesome?

Not handmade – I think I’d be printing through snapfish, mainly because they do a good print job and I can usually find 20% off coupons for them.

They would be designed and photography, blank on the inside (I think… I guess if it was just begging for a “caption” I might print some with a line or two inside).

I don’t have a price in mind, but I don’t want to invest money in printing either, if it’s going to be a waste.

I buy cards all the time, and send them when I have the time.

Bah Humbug

No, it’s not that bad. Give me some credit. We’re a week away from Channukah. All but one main gift is wrapped (one isn’t even here yet), I’ve got some extra goodies that will be here on Wednesday on their way as well. I think I might pick some of their stuff out and set it aside for… later. I don’t know when later will arrive, but it’s tempting. While we did not over buy, we did wind up with some extras. I am all about setting them aside as special gifts for special things.

The 21st is the first night. We’ll be at shul for a bit for their festival, and my Gram & Aunt are coming over for dinner that night. The next night my Gram & Zaide are coming over. Busy week ahead! I need to make sure we have candles, and the menorah is clean, not to mention the house. We need to make latkes. Fresh or from a mix? I don’t know yet.

The kids are out of school the 2oth – 4th. We’ll go up to LCS I think, and the park, and some other stuff. Michael has some bowling coupons, so that’ll be fun.

I had this huge, actual post planned out, but it left. Maybe it iwll come back later.

It’s official, I can’t function without Michael

Michael is sick, so I took my dad with me to BJs for our bi weekly shopping. I made sure Dad had his BJs card (we got one for DH, one for Dad) and off we went. We shopped for the usual haour/hour and a half. We’re checking out. Oh FUCK! My card is in the car. I run to the car, with a sinking feeling that my bag is on the back of one of the dining chairs. Um, yup. I call dad from outside, ask him to charge it and I’ll transfer the money back to him. I cannot fucking believe I’ve left my bag home. Well, I can, I usually leave it in the damn car. And Michael is usually with me. You know, with his man wallet in his back pocket. I just load up the cart and keep track of what we’ve spent. On the bright side, I saved 35.50 in BJs coupons on stuff we do in fact actually eat.

Look, it’s content

Instead of multiple posts, I’ll put it all into one. I promise, I’ll try to break it up.

This morning we went to Edinea. I love going to see Chrissy. My eyebrows look lovely, as always. She commented on how bright my hair still is and I was told I have perfect skin (I love a good compliment). We had a nice chat about doggies and what she feeds hers (1/2 protein, 1/4 grain and 1/4 rice) – she does cook for her doggies, and our Miss Sasha seems to prefer people type food over dry doggie type food. Not that I blame her. I made our next appointment for the end of the month. It’s my little ray of pampering sunshine.

After we went to Best Buy. We got some coupons in the mail, so like good little consumers we had to go purchase things. Dorian spent some of his money on a Wii point card, so we split that. He decided to download Mario Kart 64 and save his other 500 points. We picked up a magazine, and some DVD’s. I eyeballed Zelda and Super Paper Mario. I think I’ll get Zelda next. SPM will wait until I’ve beaten plain old Paper Mario (downloaded for the Wii of course).

Came home, had lunch, cleaned with Michael & Sara. Sara did most of it. I’m going to have her finish the kitchen and pay her after.

Drumming up stuff for [Punky Moms]. Do you want to be published? Read these guidelines and submit submit submit! Your stories of course, not to me. I have enough responsibilities. There just isn’t room for a household slave . Come back for that after the kids are grown and moved out.

We’ve got our Sept news almost done. We have a big surprise to unveil along with the news. Exciting stuff!

I’ve been pretty busy. I am working on a bad ass logo. I am pleased with it so far.Bah, I had a whole post ready to post in my head and off it went. I’ve been having terrible memory problems lately. I’ll walk into a room and completely forget what I  was doing. I’ve been thinking about asking Michael to do things, thinking that I did indeed voice it outloud, only to get aggravated he didn’t do X and have it turn out I never really asked.
