Loose Teeth!
Malachai’s bottom two teeth are loose! I downloaded a teeth pdf about when they come in, when they fall out, etc.. to show the kids and we decided to check Mal’s b/c the bottom ones tend to come out around age 6. They were all wiggly!
He was all giggly and ran around the house showing everyone his loose teeth. He is so cute :-) I lurve him.
He wont let me touch them again, but he is so obviously proud of having loose teeth. Yay Mal!
Unfortunately, they are *not* the top teeth, which are the ones with the big as cavity right in the middle.

So, I got this email last week about how much the food would cost, but no real info as to how to pay, etc.. (it had an address to send a check to, but it also had some other options, anyway)
So I emailed Annie and asked what’s up and it turns out I was approved as a coordinator! Yay! I get my food for free! OK, I’m gonna bust my ass putting the boxes together and gathering payments, but in exchange for the work I get my box for free. I’m getting a list of names & numbers to call tomorrow/Monday so I can get my people to pay me so we can get our food on Thursday. I am happy! Eshiva had her second dance class this morning – she loves it. I am a little irritated I got taken for a full months tuition for two classes (it wasn’t prorated – I totally would have waited till March had I known) but she is so happy it’s worth it anyway.
After that we went to Bear Fair at the elementary school (it’s got a couple of bounce houses, “carny” games, raffles, etc..) and the kids went in a bounce house, had cotton candy, played some games. Malachai fell and we left (some jackass mom pointed out it was “only bleeding a little” seriously, what mom points out that it’s bleeding at all??) and headed for the Dollar Tree. Oh, my brother entered a raffle, and entered me in one as well, so maybe we’ll win something!
We spent 35 freaking dollars at the dollar store. How does that even happen? Well, my brother and sister spent just shy of ten, so that makes it a little better. I got some much needed erasers and glue sticks, and new shovels/pails for the beach and some other beachy stuff. Eshiva got some cheapish imitation Disney dollhouse furniture and sneaked a Mary figurine in (it’s doll house sized – I may just repaint it or something) and they all got more candy (because you know, we needed more candy, doesn’t everyone?) and got dad Fiddle Faddle. Oh, and peanuts for Fish. Notice who did not get anything? Yep. It’s ok. I am basking in my new [s]toy[/s] phone. That new will take a while to wear off, I think.
It’s hot as fuck, sadly, we’re expecting rain storms tomorrow. Hopefully not while we’re at the beach! After this weekend, I have park days planned. I planned out an entire summer of park days, in fact. A new one every Saturday – Tuesday in fact, the kids are in camp Wed – Fri.

Eshiva went this morning and had two crowns put on her front teeth. She is an angel at the dentist.

We spoke to the dentist about Malachai (again) and I explained to her that our speech pathologist (who can’t call her directly as she is a student, but she is amazing) said that simply removing the teeth would be detrimental to any progress he has made. I explained that he was 100% unintelligible and not having the two front teeth would send us right back to square one.
She explained our options, but it boiled down to the fact that since he will not tolerate having x-rays done, they just have no clue what to expect. She said they could go in, expecting to do crowns, but if the cavities are to the nerve, they have to pull. Because he already has crowns on all the molars they cannot cement a bridge in place and she is worried that using a temp bridge (one that comes out) would be more trouble than it’s worth (he could swallow it, it could get lodged in his throat, he could lose it…)
I said I hate to Benadryl him up just for x-rays, but if we do them and find out the cavity isn’t as bad as all that and they can do the crowns or just leave the teeth until they fall out on their own, I’ll do it. She sent us home with the x-ray tab to get him used to it being in his mouth, so maybe they can do the pictures without the Benadryl. I doubt it, but maybe!
Michael is taking him in next Thursday.

I just ordered RAM from MemorySuppliers.com for my brothers machine and my PowerBook. They said they would give me 15$ back if I plugged them and sent them the link. So I am. I have no shame.
However, they do offer this fabulous memory finder for people like me who have absolutely no clue what kind of RAM to get unless they are mathcing it to what they already have. I am not computer stupid, but since we moved out of having one kind, I have been lost. My brothers computer is a couple of years old and it was almost impossible to find RAM for it. MemorySuppliers.com had it. Apple no longer carries RAM for my PowerBook (of they were out of it, but I’d bet on the former and not the latter) seeing as it’s coming up on four years old.
They also offer a 60 day money back guarantee, 110% guaranteed low price, free shipping both ways *and* “Installing memory is easy – follow our simple illustrated installation instructions or call our toll-free support and our experts will patiently guide you to a successful upgrade.”
I can install my own damn RAM, but it’s nice to know that if I can’t figure out how to slide my battery out, pop the cover off and slide the new RAM in, someone can talk me through it.
My RAM should show up later this week. I don’t anticipate any problems. I mean, it’s RAM. But, if there is a problem, I can exchange it. Sounds like a good deal to me.
