I suddenly have a hankering to cuddle a little wrinkly newborn and inhale their head…. It might have to do with my 10 month old being an amazon and not smelling new anymore.

my mom has a full body scan last week, and her cancer spread to her right lung and stomach. my dad is all dire and thinks (based on the paper work) she wont last a year. but then in the same breathe says she might surprise us all, but she is definitely worse off than she was a year ago.
they are changing up her drugs again to try and get it, but it sounds like they are not operating at all anymore. it spread via her lymph system, so it’s kind of stupid to operate when it’ll spread more anyway.
he says not to base our plans on this, i agree, but…. i spent the past five years basing my plans around “when” not “what if” and this is just another “when”
when she dies, who is going to take care of the twins and my dad? when she dies… i don’t want the next time i see her to be at her funeral, you know?
i also don’t need a ton of posts like the ones i wrote the other day to nora, saying not to borrow worries. i’m not borrowing them, i already know what the outcome is. i just don’t know when. i hate not knowing when.
Fish… well, turtles actually

Went to Petco, Target and Big Als today. Will have to swing by Pet Supermarket tonight. Why you ask? We got a new habitat for the turtles!
Bought a 20 gallon tank for the turtles, which is a 50gall foot print, but has a slot int he side for the filter (it is specifically a turtle tank), filter, bridge, feeder dock, lamps, bulbs and rocks for the bottom. It’s runing now to get the water cleaner circulated so I can move our turtles and their dock.
We also got a huge castle for the fish tank, because our new parrot fish tried to kick our old parrot fish out of the castle we had. Well, that didn’t bode well, so we got this huge mother of a castle they can all fit in. Moved the old castle into the other tank, and the fish immediatly took up residence. The new castle is a bit large, but it has ample room for everyone who needs to hide to hide in, and once we set up the 55 gallon tank, it’ll fit well in there.
We need to go back to Big Als to get some plants to put in the turtle tank, and to Pet Supermarket to get some feeder guppies for the turtles. The feeders at Big Als are too big for out baby turtles.
Got a new sheet at Target, fish got a new card for his camera, and the boys got some misc stuff too. We went there to buy lamps, but they didn’t have any clip on ones. Thankfully the ones at PetCo were on sale!
