I’ve got nothing. I could write an “about me” type page every day for a year and every page would be different. I’m not saying I’m fickle or anything, just that there is always something new to do, create, eat, post about, you name it. I don’t really have a direction for the new blog, just taking a wait and see and let’s find out attitude about it. Come find out with me!
I’m Jenn. I’ve been a web monkey and graphic artist since 1997. I’ve been a freelancer since 2000. I get a wild hair up my ass to really write now and then (and my momma used to tell me I could make a sailor blush, so if that offends you, go ahead and leave now), so I don’t always ramble on about nothing. I promise. I want nothing more than to be a tattooer (my awesome husband is!), but degenerative nerve issues in my arms and hands prevents that dream from coming true. To be fair, degenerative nerve issues keep me from doing laundry or brushing my hair some days, so grain of salt people. Grain of salt.
I’ve got three kids, 8, 11 & 13. One is an aspiring dancer, one plans to build a time machine, and one is too busy being surly and antisocial to have a current dream. All of them are amazing.
Here, I’ll steal my about me from Punky Moms – Jennifer is the archetype of the next generation matriarch. She is a stay at home mom raising five children (three of her own and two in her charge), one husband and one (grand)father. In her youth she wore a green mohawk and had already begun her beautiful collection of tattoos. She used to tour with Rancid and haunt the popular punk hangouts in Baltimore in the 90s. As a mom she is hip as ever. She continues to add to her tattoo collection, but has swapped the punk haunts for playgrounds and the school pick up line. Jenn runs the technical aspect of Punky Moms. Whenever there is a tech problem, she fixes it. She is responsible for how fantastic this place looks and operates.
