Update on Malachai!
He went in this morning and took the xray like a pro! The dentist put a lead apron on me so I could sit next to him and hold his hand. We listened very carefully for the beep and he stayed very very still. Then she made two copies so he could look at it too! We didn’t get to keep it 
Verdict is… we’ll find out tomorrow lol One of the cavities is very close to the nerve and cannot have a crown put on it, and there might be infection above the root (near the adult tooth) and have to be pulled anyway. We might be able to crown the other one, so it wont impact his speech as much. She wasn’t sure, so she is consulting with the other dentist tomorrow and will phone me.
His bottom two teeth are wiggly and I am having visions of having both top and bottom teeth out. Oy, it wont be good.
The adult teeth are literally right there from what the xray was showing, but they aren’t coming down yet – those front teeth aren’t even loose yet.
Let’s hope they can crown the one tooth.
Mal did so incredibly well today. I don’t hold as much hope for the work itself, but this dentist fucking rocks. She is really taking the time to keep him calm, made sure he knew what we were doing, told him I could stay right next to him, etc..
