Judaism has had its “drift” just like Catholicism and just about every other major religion. I’m pretty sure Muhammad didn’t start out saying, “Oh, yeah, and I want you to blow yourself up to get rid of at least one capitalist, even if you take out fourteen of our own people at the same time. Virgins for everyone!”

Any religion is meant as a guideline for practice, but your faith is your own.

(Upon reflection, maybe it’s the “Joe Lieberman” cooties that’s attracting them…)

You see a huge amount of noise on-line from the Jewish minority that supports McCain for the same reason that you see a huge amount of noise on-line from the non-Jewish minority that supports McCain… The right-wingers fit the “true believer” mode more than the left-wingers and moderates, and that means that they are more committed to “spreading the word” about why they’re right.

Also, the Republican strategy for winning elections is to overwhelm the populace with their message, true or not, in the hope that it sticks.

Frankly, the Republican propagandists are more organized and more experienced than the Democrats are at getting their message out.

Don’t dismay, though, because we are getting the message out, and we will win in November.

Rather than worrying about this, find something productive to do to help Obama win the election! Register at My.BarackObama.com, make phone calls, do door-to-door canvassing, travel to a battleground state and register voters, donate money to the campaign, etc.
