I have been really lax about blogging. I guess I’ve been too busy to keep up with myself. That’s kind of sad.
Let’s see… I got a new phone. OK, it’s an old phone, but it’s new to me. I got a BlackBerry 8700c from a friend. I washed my phone, and it worked just fine once it dried except no one could hear me. The camera, the speaker, the ear piece, the screen, all fine. It wouldn’t pick up sound. I never had any idea how much I was on the phone until I couldn’t be on the phone. I’ll never say I avoid the phone ever again.
On topic of my phone, my ear is healed enough to use my ear piece! Whoohoo! I had been missing it, oddly enough. I can’t wear it all day long, but it’s fine for an extended phone call.
I got life insurance policies for the kids, mostly to lock in the rate for them for when they are grown. I hold my breath the first of every month because we usually jsut barely have our insurance payments. Better yet, it’s whole life, not term. I went through Gerber, and yes, just like the commercial says, it’s double at age 21 and at age 21 or 28 they have the option to increase it quite a bit. I hope they appreciate this gift. I certainly would have.
It’s Sukkot. We had dinner with one of the Rabbi’s on the first night, and it was lovely. Dinner was delicious and I really had a good time. We had lunch with some friends on Saturday, and it was also good. We went to Sukkot party at the shul on Sunday and the kids got to see the tail end of some entertainers, and they did some of the carnival stuff that was set up and ate and went in the bouncehouse. It was nice.
I will be in Baltimore city overnight on Oct 14/15. I am hoping to get together with my aunt and uncle, but barring that I am open to ideas. I’ll be staying at one of the hotels at the harbour (as far as I know, I’m not paying for the tri, but I was told it would be there) and I’ll be at Hopkins during the day on Monday and I suspect will have some free time between Hopkins and the airport.
I got my ravelry invite, you can find me here: http://www.ravelry.com/people/azxure You can find the Punky Moms ravelry group here: http://www.ravelry.com/groups/punky-moms I haven’t really populated my page yet, but I suspect I’ll be working on it.
I am helping out with the school carnival (D’s school) and PTO stuff. M has a field trip coming up. E is hanging out at home with me. We’re tearing up the alphabet. Everything is “what’s that say?” I’m pretty excited she is so interested in reading so young.
There’s more, but fuct if I remember what.
