Well, the board is back up. Took me half the day to get it fully straightened out with the host. Then I had to hit up IPB support about something else. I think we’re golden. We will be fixing some settings to help ease server strain, instituting some new policies (rather, being more strict about some older ones) and some other misc. stuff we need to discuss before announcing.
Some of the changes already made are that “topic views” will be updated every 6 hours instead of immediately. We now have a “Server Load Limit” set up on the board, so if we hit it, the board will display a “busy” message asking you to try again in a few minutes.
I also want to add, I got a short list of direct URL’s to certain threads. I don’t know why they were “targeted” as problem threads, however, I decided to preemptively remove them to just save the headache of this potentially happening again. Some of the threads had only one or two replies, some had pages upon pages of replies. Who knows why the CPU gos got pissed off at them.
Our merch order is complete, and partially filled already! Talk about good turn around time! The order was placed in part on Monday, and the rest on Tuesday.
