So, we’ve been here a while now. Yah. That’s it.
Michael was supposed to start working this weekend, but something came up, and what was a month and was down to a few days is now back up to a few weeks. So we’re back at a month. I dunno. I hope it’s sooner. We’re gonna be out of money soon.
I have to head to the bank on Monday to pay our car payment (um, because I kept putting it off and putting it off and I have never, ever been later before so this has be all sorts of out of sorts).
We bought Quicken Home & Business today. I need to get that set up. One of our credit cards downloaded twice, so it’s showing a double balance. Damn software. Otherwise it’s fine. I’m used to MS Money, but our new bank uses Quicken and we needed the business software anyway.
I also got an answering machine today and a couple of books. That’ll be here in a couple of weeks. Gotta love Amazon Super Saver Shipping.
Punky Moms moved to an IPB board instead of SMF. We’ve been installing the themes, setting it up and whatnot. I added some blogging software tonight, and I’m trying to add some downloading software as well (so instead of setting stuff up as attachments we have a seperate area for it). Good stuff. I really like the IPB software better, and I am thrilled we were in a position to purchase it. SMF is fabulous, especially so for free software, but I love how IPB is set up.
I hate ticks. It’s tick season. Not only are ticks something I have never really had to deal with before, ever, but the dog keeps bringing them in the house. So she has a flea & tick coller (that doesn’t work), and she had tick drops (that didn’t work) and she’s gotten a few baths with flea & tick shampoo (that doesn’t work). So I keep finding them everywhere. Dor went berry picking with Dan today and there were two ticks on his underpants, a couple in his shorts. He stripped down when he got home to shower b/c there were chiggers where they were picking, so Dan told us to scrub him down good. I’m glad, because I never would have thought to check his clothes for ticks. Damn bugs.
