Please excuse my intrusion into your in box, but I wanted to announce that the current script of PunkyBay will be closing after the last current auction is over, and I will be opening a better script of auctions.
I apologize for any confusion this may cause, but we seem to have had a lot of trouble with this script, and I managed to get a different, cleaner one to use.
Again, all current auctions will be allowed to end. If you have sent money in to put up new auctions, it will be refunded in full, whether you used some or not.
You will need to sign back up with the new auction script. This is the last time PunkyBay will be moving. I’ll announce it on the board when it’s ready (hopefully tonight, 3/11/06, or tomorrow at the latest).

Fees? There is one single fee. 5% of your auction (five cents from every dollar) goes back to the board. That’s it. No extra fees for a dutch auction or buy it now or images or whatever. Not only that, but it’s on the honor system. There is a link in the email sent to you at the auction end with a link and that total owed to the board. You click it and pay then. The admin gets a copy of the end of auction letter as well, so we get a copy of the script-generated totals.
Now, you might be asking how we can “show a profit” with the few fees we are charging. Well, here’s where you can help. If you are auctioning off for the benefit of the board, please state so in your auction description and set your payment address to punkytreasure@mac.com (when you create your auction it asks for the paypalkaddress to use). I was going to create a default user of sorts for this purpose, but I don’t want to have to worry about auctions getting accidentally messed up by having multiple users with access to one log in. Otherwise, your winnings are yours to keep!

After you fill in all your info, click on Register Now, and it will take you to a screen that says New user registration
Registration completed. Your data has been properly received.
A confirmation e-mail has been sent to: YOUR EMAIL ADDY
Open your email, click on the link, then sign in.
