I just talked to Matt! Yes, this does merrit a rediculously HUGE amount of happy! I have known Matt since I was like, 15, and he is my bestest friend in the whole world. If I hadn’t married Fish I’d have gone after Matt in a heartbeat…… when the time was right anyway.
But I haven’t spoken to Matt since LAST February! Why you ask? Cuz motherfucker went off and enlisted after 9/11 and last Feb is around when they shipped his dumb ass off to Iraq. He just called me, he got back a few days ago. Said he tried to write but all his letters came back 
He didn’t even know I was pregnant, let alone had a baby, cuz I wasn’t last time we spoke.
I am so happy he is back safe and sound! He is already talking about going back though. His enlistment is up next year, so apparently if he can go back in a couple of months, he wont go over his enlistment, but if they make him wait the 6 months in between, they wont let him come home when his enlistment is up, eh’ll have to stay the tour.
Oh, I am just so relieved to hear he is home safe & sound though and nothing too exciting happened while he was there.
