something other than photos. really.

I’ve kind of been neglecting LJ. It’s an afterthought. I’ve been using someplace else as it. Bad me. For shame.

I got a letter in regards to the tag for our van a bit ago. It said I had a stop on my driving record. Um, ok. I call. They say they are seeing an unpaid ticket and my license being suspended, which, if it were true, would indeed put a stop on my record and keep us from getting said tag. But it was a lie. We went to the courthouse yesterday, but there was no parking. So we went back this morning. Today was my day. We found a spot right quick. We got in right quick. There was no line for a window teller thing inthe clerks room. She sees nothing. She pulls my record. Prints it out even. Nothing. So I bring said record print out home. I call the people about the tag. I say, but there is no unpaid ticket or suspension (mind you, I have no driven since the woman told me it was suspended because you know I’d get pulled over). She says maybe they’ve released it. Hm, whatever. She tries to run it again while I go on a search for a phone cord so I can fax the record. I never find a phone cord. She calls back and says good news, it went through, we’ll have your tag out tomorrow. What jsut happened here? I got fucked by the state, again, because their records suck. This is not the first time this has happened to me people. It just turned out well this time, and in my favour. Last time I had to pay a 185$ ticket. Twice. Oh, this ticket/suspension? The ticket was from 11-2003. The suspenstion supposedly from 12-2003. I think she misread my record the first time and fucked up and covered it up. Poorly.

I had five over drafts this week. I haven’t overdrawn the account in a good long time. Damn trip north. Stupid 5 and 7 dollar charges to the account too, so I am overlypissed b/c the overdraft protection charge is more than the charge itself. Why couldn’t they just decline the card? Hm? I’d have put it on something else.

I have 10 thank you notes that are addressed and stamped and ready to go. Except I need another 12 cents per envelope b/c they need to be hand metered, because the envelope is too small to go through the machine.

I need to do something with my hair. Wish I knew if I was shaving it off or not. Mom has been having some health problems related to the chemo. I hope it’s nothing serious, but it is serious enough they ahd to skip part of the treatment a couple of times now. That worries me. Dad has a doc appt today, so I am waiting to hear about that. He is having trouble breathing, and I think we are all hoping it is in the septum or sinuses, not the lungs. Hoping it will be an easy nothing like fixing the nose, outpatient. Or an easy nothing like getting rid of the cat. Easy.
