Packing Packing Packing

We were packing boxes in the living room and Chai fell asleep. I always feel bad when he falls asleep by himself. I feel bad when Dorian does it too. I don’t know why.

Dad said to gather up any important papers and stuff, but they already are. We just have to get them from the storage place and put them in the car I guess. He said if a category 4+ (it’s a 5 right now) is headed for University Drive, they/we are heading north.

More fun times.

11 a.m. Update: Hurricane Ivan, now a Category 5 storm, is tracking more to the north today, with South Florida placed near the center of its projected track.

As of 11 a.m., Ivan was about 980 miles southeast of Miami, moving to the west-northwest at 15 mph. It is expected to continue that movement over the next 24 hours. Wind speeds are 160 mph with 195 mph gusts. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 60 miles. Tropical Storm force winds extend out up to 160 miles.

Although some fluctuations are expected, forecasters at the National Hurricane Center think Ivan could strengthen even more this morning.
