We spent our Christmas vacation at $wap$hop. Really.
Let me back up a moment.
Last night (Christmas eve) we went to see Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It beat our Pirates, hands down, for movie of the year. It did not do this until the scene when the legion of undead ghosties (the mountain men) swarmed up over the oliphaunts and the city destroying all in their way. Ok, it almost did when they showed them in the mountains the first time. Yes, it won. No doubt about it. All 3 hours and 40 minutes of it. Damn trilogy should have been 5, maybe 6 movies. Oh well. I am sorry to see it over. I am not a star wars fan by any stretch of the imagination (tho I have loads of respect for Lucas and what he managed to pull off in the 70′s and 80′s. I just feel that the key fan base realized, around the same time Lucas did, that he played it out, and then dug up the corpse and tried to re-market it.) and now there is nothing to look forward to. I did however, re-new my interest in getting an Ent tattooed on my body somewhere. I had originally thought on a leg, but now I am thinking on the underside of my right arm, opposite the phoenix. Man, that will hurt!
Oh, sorry, I got a bit off topic. Then we went and picked up the boy (the little one) and left the big one to sleep at my moms house. She took him out today to Boomers for, no kidding, YidStock. Seriously. No, I mean it. They close it to the public. It’s 20$ per adult, don’t know how much per child, and the games and everything are free all day.
We went to $wap$hop and bought wooden bowls. Yep, you read correct. I bought one set of 5 bowls, leaf shaped, 4 small ones and a large one. They are a salad set. I also got (from another spot) a set of bowls and a large one plus a wooden serving fork. They all need to be cleaned and re-treated, but they were all very well made and not overly scratched up. We are going to Bed Bath & Beyond tomorrow to be my vacuum, a spice rack (he doesn’t know that yet, but I hate them all lined up on my stove in different jars. I am such a kitchen gadget whore) and a knife block for his knives. We have a set of Sabatier’s but we also need to store his knives, not just have them laying in a drawer or in his knife kit. I also need some kitchen towels and potholders. Using chinese prefolds is getting old *laughs*
I kind of got my period today. 10 days early. Go figure. We have been careful this month tho. Notice my kids birthdays? Chai was conceived early December, Dorian New Years eve. Yah. And the timing is right for Chai to be 2 if we had another one, so we’ve been careful.
I emailed divacup about what size to get, they never got back to me tho :/ Maybe after this holidays are over? According to them (and the keeper) I should get the “given birth vaginally” one. Well, duh. But on the other hand, my mama friends are bitching about tampons *falling out* WTF is that all about? I do not have that problem, so I emailed them, explained it, and asked if I needed the smaller of the two. I do not want to spend 28$ and have one possibly be too small and the other too large. So we will see. I doubt they will take it back in exchange *laughs*
Oh, did I mention my tampons are on the back of the toilet. At my moms house. So I took one of the chinese prefolds I had cut and threw it into a pair if “booty shorts” as Fish calls them. It’ll do.
But I am also not bleeding much. Spotting at best. Cross your fingers. No babies for me. Not now.
